Another Storm Arises [My first fan-fiction]
Hello! This is my very first fan-fiction! So, please bear with me if there are many flaws, especially in the plot. I wrote it on-the-spot! Ahahahaha!
Chapter 11 - The House of Slytherin
Chapter 11
The House of Slytherin

“NO!” Horace yelled at the top of his lungs.

A bright blue light sparked from his wand and sent the man hurling a like a boulder at the walls of the deserted corridor. He fell unconscious and bleeds at the head. Several Slytherin students dashed back into their dormitories, screaming. Several minutes ago, Horace told them not to leave the common room and stay put on their beds even though the headmaster called for a meeting.

Another man stood there, with great shock printed across his pale face. “You should be grateful that Lord Alvis gave you another chance, Potions-master!” he yelled across the room. He gave his companion a short glance and then turned to Horace and pointed his wand at him. The Potions professor, however, stood there with an angered look on his face.

“I will not let you inspect my students, rebellious half-blood!” Horace yelled which caused the man to flinch.

“So, the Slytherin still do hold their reputation. I see…” the man said and then laughed.

“Why you…!” Horace said and then waved his wand.

Slytherins that have not yet had the chance to go to their dormitories screamed again. The room was filled with flashes of light and the deflected jinxes off into the cushions and tables. Several students ran away from the two but had the most unfortunate luck to be struck by several hexes and fell unconscious. Horace yelled at them to protect themselves and then waved them off.

Green and red light erupted around the common room. When used for duel, the room was not that wide enough for two and the fight was very close and cramped. Horace tried his best deflecting and sending spells at the man while walking across the room without toppling over a table or chair. It was hard as it sounds because he had to protect himself and avoid being distracted at the same time.

But at a fast swish of the man’s hand, Horace’s wand flew out of his own and shot across the room. It landed with a hollow thud and then the owner itself flew across the common room and landed at a sofa. Horace groaned with pain as he tried to stand up; he felt that he dislocated his shoulders and broke his back. He suddenly thought that he was not as young as before.

However, it was at that same moment when a blond girl jumped into the scene and sent sparks across the room from her wand. She was yelling at the man but was inaudible to Horace; he was too damaged to focus on her words. The man who hurt him was having a hard time himself and saw the expression of surprise in his face.

Another strong wave of her wand and ending it with a flourished flick, the man spun into the air and landed near the fireplace with slashed all over his body. He immediately lost consciousness. The girl immediately dashed to Slughorn and finally recognized her.

“Ah… Young Issy, eh? I always knew you were good in dueling! You’re so talented like your mother.” He said.

Cissy looked at her head of house and then turned red. She held her wand tightly and then turned to the man, who was still unconscious. Several Slytherin students jumped to their feet and dragged the two men into a cupboard and stuck them there. With a short bang, the door of the cupboard was boarded with cement it looked like there was no cupboard at all. They looked at their head with concern and began to discuss on what to do.

Horace held up his hand for them to stop. “Do not worry about me, girls and boys. Will someone kindly take my bag? It must be somewhere here.” He said and the students began to rummage all around the common room. A moment of searching passed and a first year student dashed to Slughorn and gave him his bag.

After several moments of silence as Horace was tending his wounds, Cissy was pacing up and down along the common room. She was greatly intrigued of what just happened; an unknown man came to the Slytherin common room as if they acted in someone’s orders. They even fought with the Potions professor with full strength without even holding back. They were forced to fight to kill.

“Issy, please send the rest of the Slytherins to bed. I need to tell you of grave importance.” Horace said. “Immediately…”

Cissy nodded and then began to usher the lower years into their dormitories. “Keep up! Come on! Please, no talking and head to your beds! Keep up! Quickly!”

After several minutes of struggling to keep the students to their dormitories, Professor Slughorn was now alone with the young Slytherin. He looked at her as if in deep thought and scanning her soul inside her body. He broke the gaze with the shake of his head.

“You need to leave Hogwarts, Issy!” Horace said in a hoarse and agitated tone that it sent shivers to her bones. However, she was taken aback by the thought of the idea and then began to gape at her head of house. He beamed at her, implying the thought of not to worry.

He raised his wand at the fireplace and then the fire died out; sheer cold engulfed the place. But instead of seeing the burnt wood in it, there was an unusual hole that was never there before. She gave him a very concerned look and then gave him a nod.

“Please, be safe for Hogwarts.” Horace said.

And she jumped in the hole and led her to an unknown place which only her head of house knew where. She trusted him and he trusted her, there was nothing to fear. Though she had been in Hogwarts for seven years already, she had never known this passageway. Maybe Dumbledore was right when he said himself that even he was a headmaster, he would never know every secret that this school held. And she waited for the darkness to end as she slid into nothingness.
