My Thoughts
Thoughts that cross my mind are worries I have, and can't get them out of my mind..

Friends for Life

During the afternoon, X was leaning over on her desk silently. Waiting for class to begin. As she closed her eyes, her mind scrambled. Remembering last night, she wanted to avoid anyone. She felt like she couldn't trust one soul in that school. Pain entered her, stretches of scars lay on her pale face. On cut in the middle of her left eye diagnally, while the others made three scars on her right cheek.

In a short while, her classmates had piled in. As they sat their backpacks and books on their desks, they ran to their friends, talking loudly to them. The bell had yet to ring, which seemed hours to X. While listening to everyone's chat, she heard some conversations about her. "Look at those scars on her face!! What do you think happened?"

As their friend answered, X ignored their questions directed to her. "Maybe she got in a fight with someone or got beat up." As they giggled, X opened her eyes to examine everyone in the classroom. The teacher still isn't here, X thought. Lifting herself tiredly to sit up, she slid down her chair a little while a few students walked up to her.

"Hey X, " one said friendly, lifting up her hand in a wave, "we were wondering something." The girl's name was Britney, she was a kind girl who dressed in tight clothes. Her hair was golden and wavy, but a little below her shoulders.

"How did you get those scars on your face?" Asked the student next to Britney. He wore a baseball like cap that covered his dirty blonde hair. With his name being Conner, the one behind them was named Hank.

X glanced at all three, wondering why they would care. She sat quietly on her chair as all three of them stared in question, waiting for an answer. X avoided them as the school bell rang to signal them to be in their third period class. X glared at them to leave her while she heard her name being called.

Glancing over her shoulder toward the direction of the voice, she noticed it was her teacher. X quickly got up and slowly walked up to her wondering what she needed. "Your mom is here." X widened her eyes a little. "She's in the office now, you need to go there immediatly. You should probably bring your stuff just in case." Her teacher's name was Mrs. Swanson the math teacher. She lemony yellow hair and beautiful brown eyes.

X nodded in understanding as she walked back to the classroom, all the students staring at her. X stopped at her desk as she scanned around the room at the rest of the students then grabbed her bag. As she put the strap over on her shoulder, she began to walk out the door, nodded once to the teacher as a thank you and headed for the office.

Walking through the halls, she examined the passing rooms. Noticing the teachers speaking and the students listening. A few of them watched back as they didn't pay attention. X glared forward to where she was walking and finally got to the stairs. As she ran up the stairs, she skipped one stepped each.

When getting to the top she thought to herself while letting her feet walk her the rest of the way. "Why would my mom be here?" X quietly spoke to herself. "What could be waiting for me in the office?" Speaking to herself and not paying attention, she bumped into someone.

X, falling to the floor, she quickly got up onto her elbows and glanced up. Shocked to see her love, Aku, he was shocked as well. "Hey." Smiling he offered his hand to help her back on her feet. "What are you doing?"

Blushing a little while being embarrassed, she took his hand as he helped her up. "I have to go to the office, my mom is waiting for me there, " X replied not looking at Aku.

"There are officers there, too." Aku kept his glance at her. "Do you have any idea what happened?"

Shocked, X wasn't sure why officers would want anything to do with her. "No, I'm wondering what's happening myself." X began to walk again as Aku followed. "Meet me outside of the office, I want to be with you afterward."

Nodding, Aku agreed. He noticed they were just a few feet from the office and stopped X. "I'll try to stay put, if I'm not here then I had to go back to class, okay?"

Running back up to him and giving him a quick hug she claimed, "it's okay. Just wait here. I'll see you after school if you leave." X backed off a little, leaving him standing there alone. As she walked into the school's office, she realized everyone stood in silence as X walked in. As their eyes wondered towards her, so was her ambition of thinking she did something wrong.

"Sweetie," her mother's angel voice spoke ever so beautifully, "come here, we want to ask you a few questions." As X sighed in relief, she headed towards her mother sitting in the chair next to her. Comfort filled her because if her mother wasn't with her, she would've felt more insecure.

Setting her backpack down, X glanced at her mom then the principle. He stared at her, frowning and his hands mashed together. "Don't feel insecure, but we need to ask a few questions from you. Be honest, we already talked to a few students before you." His British accent sounded stern.

"Do you know a young man named Kiru Non?" Spoke one of the police officers, with his hands behind his back while keeping his gaze at X. As X recognized the name she nodded as the officer began to speak again, "he was murdered about two nights back at 2:46 a.m." X was wondering why they needed to tell her this, but she listened carefully.

"Do you know anyone who might have a grudge on him, X?" Shocked at the question, she sat to think and realized her and a few of her friends did. She didn't want to say, instead she slyly lied, "I wouldn't know anyone. Besides, everyone has a grudge on someone for who knows what." The police officer took his glance at her principle.

X glanced at her mom then at back at her principle. He kept his glance on her as he claimed, "you aren't hiding anything, are you?" X sat silently and shook her head lightly. He kept his gaze until he stood up and put his hand out, X's mother grabbing it in a friendly handshake. "Thank you for you and your daughter's time, although I would like to ask one other question." Her mother looked at him in questioning gaze as he asked X, "did you see the torn body?"

Why would he ask this? X thought suspeciously, she knew they were hiding something. "I did. Didn't phase me though. Although, " X wanted them to trick and scare them, "there's no doubt that the murderer is someone in this school." The principle let go of her mothers hand with widened eyes staring down at X.

"How do--" the principle started but never finished. "I think you should take your daughter home now. Just in case; for safety" Her mother shook her head as she signaled X to leave. As they walked out the door the rest were left to stand in place in silence. When she glanced back she brought a smile upon her scarred face.

As soon as they had left she spotted Aku with his eyes closed listening to music. Sympathy for Aku stabbed him sweetly as she walked over to him with her mother watching him. As X appeared in front of Aku, he opened his eyes and realized it was her. "Hey." Smiling in return she glanced at her mother.

"Mother, is it okay if I go home with Aku? I'm still shaken about the disappearance of a formal classmate." X lied but her mother nodded and spoke, "I want you home around 10 at the least, okay?" Nodding in agreement she watched her leave as she grabbed Aku's sleeve gently.

"Lets go, I don't want to stick here, I need to tell you something." A little caught by surprise he glanced at her without question as they both walked outside. "I've been having strange flashes of parts of a vision." X began as they walked towards his car. "It's weird."

Aku listened carefully and questioned, "how do you know that it wasn't a dream?" He walked beside her, but a little faster.
