"Enjoy your time here, ladies!" Uncle Vaughn shouted to us as he drove away.
I turned toward the building and just the sight of it made me puke a little. Blech.
"Here we go again... s**t..." Sky said some lady in a plaid dress approached us.
"Welcome to Oak Hill Academy, the turning point in your education. I will be giving you a tour today. Are you ready?" She started walking without an answer.
Sky and I ran to go catch up with her. This is great. Just great.
"Here is the studying courtyard, and over there is the pavillion. That building there is the library..."
"God kill me now," I muttered. Sky nodded in agreement.
"No kidding."
We continued walking through the campus, mindlessly following this crazy old lady. I don't know what Skylar was thinking, but I was thinking about everything I could do to get expelled from this hellhole.
I was glancing at all the zombie-like students as they shuffled to the classes, eyes glazed over. Never truly seeing anything. Then HE walked by.
"Mr. Donnelly, will you please wear a belt?! Your pants are too low," Old Lady called to the boy in skinny jeans with a black plaid button up (ahem HALF WAY OPEN!). He glanced over in our direction and then he saw me and Sky. He grinned and winked. My heart melted.
