Stayed with me

When I was small

Then leave so fast

Like you don't care at all

As fast as it came

Is as fast as it went

Crying inside for years

Now all my tears are spent

When my mom tried to die

I had to force myself to cry

But deep down inside

I knew it was a lie

How many years does it take

For a persons heart to heal

How many days must I swallow

This little white pill

I guess I'm just a failure

A failure as a child

For you to leave me so fast

And not stay a while

Even after all that I've said

I pray that you aren't dead

Somewhere lying in a cozy bed

While I cry in my daunting head.
