Bio: Maxine grew up believing she could be anything. All she knew is that she wanted to be somebody. She ran away from home at age 16 and went where any girl hellbent on fame would. Hollywood.

For months she lived on the streets, bumming spare change from anyone she could. She was a regular at the soup kitchen and all the locals knew her by sight or by name. It wasn't hard to recognize her with the colorful dyes she put into her hair. Despite the hardships she faced daily, she never lost that drive to get noticed.

After a year she'd lined up a few small roles in some t.v. shows. No speaking parts, just as an extra. But it was just enough to install more hope, and pay rent with a new roomie she'd met.

A year turned to two more and she was still on her own when the roomate skipped town, just as her career was taking flight. Luckily while attempting to sneak into a bar she ran into someone very important. Mike. Mike was a 22 year old agent looking for new talent and liked her spunk. She was nineteen then. He took her in and gave her a warm bed, food, and a place to call her own.

Mike turned out to be a great agent, scoring Maxine her first speaking parts. But that wasn't all he was good at.

Their weekends were spent always together, walking down the Blvd, underneath the cherry trees, eating ice cream at La Brea. And while it was always innocent, Maxine could tell he wanted more than friendship when he brushed her hair from her eyes. However, if she should ever attempt to return an act of affection, he would quickly pull out his cellphone to make a call.

Two more years passed by easily this way. The chaos of her violent home life had long since faded from her memory, and Mike was her home now. Slowly her name was being noticed. Her parts were getting bigger, and people were begining to recognize her on the street, not for the beggar she once was, but for the star she was becoming. Everything was going her way. Still though, she saw something sparkle in Mike's eyes when he gazed at her, but if she got too close he hurried off for business. She'd kicked a lot of her wild ways for him though. It was the only way she figured she could show she cared. He was special, no one had ever done so much for her. Never had she felt the way she did when he was around. So out the door went the cigarettes, the binge drinking, and the bongs. She even did her best to watch her language, just in hopes of getting an extra tight hug and coos of pride and encouragement from him.

Another year and she was 22. It was a chilly night for Cali weather as she came home from a night of shooting her test film for a new movie. She walked into the house she shared with Mike on top of the hill. All the lights were off. She dropped her things, turned on the light and called out for him. Upon receiving no reply she tiptoed to his room. The door was shut. He never shut his door. She slowly lifted a fist to knock on the door. Just as she was about to make contact, a small muffled moan on the other side of the door made her stop dead in her tracks. She cocked her head to the side, bewildered. A string of mumbled words from a female voice followed. Maxine's stomach churned.

She tore down the hallway knocking over vases and pictures, littering the floor with glass. A scream of pure rage and hurt rang out thick and clear. It hung in the air, stagnant as time slowed. She heard thumps of the startled occupants of Mike's room as she ran into her room and grabbed her bag. In went as much clothes she could sloppily shove, and she ran to the front door.

Maxine threw her bag into the passenger seat of Mike's Lamborghini. Just as she was about to step in the front door flung open. Mike stood there with a sheet wrapped around his waist.

"Its not what you think! Maxine wait!" he shouted.

Maxine rolled her eyes and flipped him the bird and yelled the words to match. Then before he could react she lept into the car and tore out of the driveway and wrecklessly into the night.

She blared the radio at full volume as tears rolled down her cheeks. She stomped on the gas pedal as she sobbed, the streetlights bled together into a blurry design. In one awkward motion she wiped her eyes a nose, and in the distraction she ran into a huge unseen puddle. The car began to hydroplane out of control, and she panicked and jerked the wheel. All at once the bright headlights of an oncoming car blinded her, and she saw Mike's face.

Then everything went black.

The next thing she knew she was in Carcer.
