Yes, I'll admit it. I'm addicted to Gaia. I told myself time and time again that something like this would never happen. Second Life? Sims? HA! Who wants to dedicated their spare time to building a virtual life? I mean, the real world's the better experience, right?
UNLESS that virtual world is based on anime and has a great rpg tied to it! At first I was skeptical. I've been all over the 'net looking for a great game and I've tried LOTS! But Gaia's simplicity and even its 24-bit avatars charmed me instantly.
Like so many others I have a couple of cool original avatars living in Gaia but this one, I feel, is more closely tied to me than any others. I considered making one that looked like me as much as possible but then thought, WTH? Why not create an avatar that best represents my spirit and sense of fun! The problem with that, though, is that there are too many people living in my head! I love RPGs and to create characters and stories! How can someone like me, a social chameleon and snappy dresser be limited to just one persona? I mean, REALLY!
The answer, of course, was simple: Don't limit myself to one persona.
And thus Morpheus Dreamchild was born. Some days I feel like a steampunk robot, other days I fancy myself a curious wizard. Through Morpheus I allow myself to experience it all.
