Just a Journal, nothing too special.

There she walks,
Down the nameless streets and alleyways,
Her path is not yet known,
She walks constantly past the couples who are hand-in-hand,
Past groups of friends who laugh and play,
And past the families who embrace their love for one another,
Whether by mental knowledge or loving touches.

She only stops when faint cries come from the shadows,
Sometimes the cries come from a lost child,
Sometimes from a hurt, lonely soul,
She approaches them slowly,
Wrapping her arms around them warmly,
And whispering loving words against their cold hearts to warm them up once more,
Once that soul is free from their sorrow,
They fly away in sheer happiness before running away back to their happy lives.

They call her the comforter,
The one who stops for anyone with a broken heart,
Or who need someone to talk to about their troubles,
It doesn't matter whether they're family, friends, or strangers,
She'll stop for them and stay by their side,
Until happiness shimmers in their eyes.

Yet, the shadows of sorrow wash over the sky,
And soon the comforter becomes the one in need of comfort,
Her legs give way on her,
Making her fall onto the cold wet pavement as the rain poured from the heavens,
She cries out for someone to help her,
For anyone to stop and help to regain her footing.

But her cries go unnoticed,
The passing shadows don't respond,
Some stop to laugh and tell her that she's an annoyance,
Or believe that she has all the people in the world to comfort her,
But those remarks are just adding on to the already cracked soul,
For she knows that no one bothers to stop for a single moment,
To help her out of the darkness that sorrow has created over her own soul,
No one there to help her,
No one.

She knows that she has two choices,
Either to find an Angel of Heaven to take her away,
Or to wait for a wingless angel to help her up,
And just when she tries to reach for the light of Heaven,
A tender hand appears in front of her.

The wingless angel smiled down at her,
Telling her that everything would be alright,
She was pulled up back onto her feet gently,
A slow smile forming on her face,
The angel repeated the motion in return,
Embracing her tight just as she did to many others,
Before leading her back into the world of hope,
The clouds of sorrow parting to reveal the warm light from above,
Until the next storm comes around.
