I just think it's interesting how old friends can get trapped in specific moments of your life.

I was hanging out with H the other day (well actually a few weeks ago now) and he asks me how my security guard gig is going. Man. I had forgotten that summer existed before he reminded me. He remembered more of my past than I did. So I guess that must've been the last time I had talked to him. I've changed so much since then, mostly in terms of what my goals and dreams are. But he never found out about that, and hell I never even bothered to take him up to speed, even then. Funny how he never really left that moment in my life.

Wonder what it would be like, if I left each of my acquaintances at a different month during a different time in my life....and then reunited with them all later? Why...it would be just like the end of Fahrenheit 451, where all these people will have memorized a different stage of my life, and combined they would perhaps be able to complete my life-story. That sure would be interesting to see.
