Review Log
This will contain mostly reviews. I will keep spoilers to a minimum where possible, but I can't guarantee spoiler free.
In the trailers for A Single Man, they deliberately make it look like a heterosexual romance movie. They cut right after the woman asking the gay man if his relationship was really just a substitute for something else. I started getting grumpy and planned not to grow on the grounds that that's pretty much pissing on the source material. They showed a clip on the Daily Show that included the strong retort to that and his defense of his dead lover. I might see it after all. Why are they trying so hard to make the movie look like something entirely other than a movie based on a famous Isherwood novel? It seems calculated to piss off people who go to it mislead about the contents.
