Laurenciel Hades had about had it.
He'd been taking a nice, math apps nap when the Animated started attacking. Now, here he was, fighting for his life. He was in the form of his Gaia avatar: black gloves, silver heart belt, twin lighting bolts, light green cargo pants, light green spikey hair, Setinel's Gift skin, and the Swamp magic orb in front of his face.
"Take that, assholes!" He said as he sent another batch of gnomes running. So far, he was running low on energy, and was trying not to use his offense rings too often.
Laurenciel leaned against a doorway. Things weren't looking good: the school had been completely overrun, and some of the cops that had been called in had no idea how to fight the Animated. Some had even ended up dead because of it. So far, none of the students had been killed, but it was only a matter of time...
But as bad as it was in the school, outside it was worse. The people who had fled should have stayed inside, but that's Freeport for ya...don't do the smart things; do the dumbest thing in the world instead.
Then he spotted someone coming down the stairs. Several someones. At the same time, his PDA beeped. Shadows10000, VampireTurk, Twilight-Crystalblade, TehSpockinator89, and Pureraven91. Kira, Toria, Rosalyn, Nolie, and Raina. An instant later, droplets of liquid fire came raining down on the Animated. Right after, even more were sliced to bits by floating katanas.
"The ONLY Mental One," Nolie said. "Of course. Laurenciel. Stuck?"
"Stow it," Laurenciel said as more Animated started coming. Peelungers this time. It didn't take long to get rid of them, as Kira complained.
Then something even more interesting happened; one of the Animated dropped a ring. It had been a pretty nasty Peelunger...at least in comparison to the rest of them. Toria picked it up. "Hack. Only a 1.5 though," she said. "That's why it had swords..."
"Uh, guys," Rosalyn said. "We've got more of 'em."
Once again, they formed up into a pseudo-formation, with Nolie the healer at the center. No one had put the Hack ring on yet.
They were outlaw pups. Outside. The only escape route.
They had just thrown themselves into hell.

For the players of zOMG, their lives are about to get a little interesting; the Animated have started invading the real world as well, not just Gaia. You've all played the game, so you know that if you die in the game you get sent to the Null Chamber
