Sora was caught deep into his own troubles. He had no idea that as he raced about, trying to save innocent hearts from the darkness, his own power was begin copied. Ansem had been watching him for a long time, and had decided that if he wouldn't join him, he would create his own Keyblade warrior.

Why should I stop there?....Why not make a invincible keyblade duo? No--Three Undefeatable Keybladers of Darkness! He thought and he meddled with the darkness. He spent most of his time practicing. Creating creatures that were almost human. He kept getting closer, and closer to the real thing.

All the while, he was watching Sora, gathering information about him, Placing the bits into his pool of darkness. This would create the three warriors...or so he hoped.

The first and oldest looking Keyblader was a makeup of Sora's strong will and undying courage. He was the strongest of the three "brothers".

The second and middle child was a play on Sora's laid-back and joking side. He wasn't as strong as his older brother, but he was strong enough.

The last, youngest, and weakest brother was a figment of Sora's innocence. He was sweet and kind. He didn't really approve of the things he was made to do, but he did them anyway. He wondered why he had to be so weak, but when the next adventure came he would find out he wasn't so weak after all.

Ansem wasn't sure his creations were ready for his plans just yet. So he planned to make himself a place to watch over them, and possibly to dump all his creations until he needed them. He put the three boys in a sleep chamber, and then went off to find some way of making a place for them.

Unfortunately, Sora prolonged the search by sending him into Kingdom Hearts. He then found what he was looking for on the other side. He watched on as a little girl created worlds, and realities. She was perfect. Namine....hm...

Namine, after all that has happened in the confinement of Castle Oblivion found that she was having a rather hard time leaving. It was the only home she knew after all.

What she had never expected was to be yet again, taken away by force, but this time not by a member of the Organization. This time she was forced to draw a picture of a planet, where the three brothers could thrive upon in the darkness while Ansem could conduct experiments on them.

As Namine was hunched over in the chair she sat, drawing away at the picture, she couldn't help but think back to the promise Sora had made to her. She wished he were here, but she had no idea something very close to him was right in front of her.

The world was made, and Ansem saw fit to make it his new kingdom. Some of the experiments decided to run from the place and find out for themselves how things were in other places. The three sides of Sora were stationed at the castle that Ansem lived in. The were sometimes sent on missions to collect data that he needed, except the youngest, who stayed around the castle and did jobs there.

One day, he was doing his usual work, and a heartless attacked him. He was amazingly victorious, with the help of a secret power he had- to bend and control light like Ansem controlled the darkness. His conditions declined from there.

Ansem began trying to beat it out of him. Stifling all the good things he had out, and pushing him harder. He just took it, and tried not to tell his brothers in fear it would get worse.
