CyberFembot A.R.C.
A while back ago I reported on Rabid Squirrel Productions and their flagship product the CyberFembot A.R.C. This custom female robot looks exactly like G1 Arcee down to the smallest detail. There were a limited number available, but I managed to order one.
My order came today in the mail and I was as excited as a kid on Christmas. I have to give the guys at RSP a huge amount of credit for the packing job. No way was this girl gonna break during shipping. Upon opening the box and digging in the packaging material I found my little A.R.C., the Headmaster, alternate hands, and an alternate netutral face (original face has an angry look). Transforming to robot mode was pretty easy and I was being extremely careful so she didn't break. Once in robot mode I found a few slight problems. First, her joint where the elbow meets the wrist was extremely loose. This was easily corrected by replacing the existing screw with a much larger one. Second, her right hand doesn't grip her gun very well. This was also easily solved by clever posing. Lastly, her shoulder was loose so I popped the shoulder out of her socket, stuffed the shoulder with a little bit of plastic and popped it back in again.
Once those issues were resolved, I began customizing and painting her. I started with the face. I choose to use the angry one since it has more personality to it. I mixed white acrylic and small portions of red ink till I got the desired color I wanted for her face. I then lightly dry brushed the entire face. Next I painted the inside of the mouth black and when that dried I used a fine detail brush to paint her teeth white. For her lips, the inside of her eyes, and the details on her face, I used a more darker pink. For her eyes I used the fine detail brush again and used a very light blue. For the front grill on her chest, I used a base black and then a metallic silver for the grill. For the vehicle mode head lights, I used a blue ink so it would look translucent like the parts they used.
I'm still not quite finished with her yet. I was looking at reference photos and plan on painting her windshield and her waist before I put the final Autobot symbol on her. I'll have pictures of her as soon as my photographer gets his a** over to my place to photograph the collection. Thank you RSP for a really great figure! Keep up the good work and I hope to see more great things from you.
