I felt the need to do this because...well...everyone else is doing it.

Anyway, 2009...by far the best year of my life, hands down.
Even though I have a really foggy memory, and I don't remember most of what's happened in the year anyway, I'll never forget it completely.
This was the year I came out (for the most part) of a spiraling depression.
The year I fell in love.
The year I started 8th grade.
The year I won back my old friends.
The year I figured out what I want to do with my life.
The year I found out the difference between my real and fair weather friends.
But most importantly,
This was the year that I found out who I am.
The year I found what I am to the world
and what the world is to me.
My New Year's resolution is to represent the phoenix.
Today I will burn what I used to be...for good, now that I have discovered what I am now.
From the ashes of my old self, I will arise and unfurl my wings.
Flying away into a bright future.
