Through the dusty blinds shines a piercing white light. In a thick mountain of pillows and blankets I hide from the world. I wish that I can hide forever in my cold dark box. The walls speak protection and warmth, drawing me to them; but deep within they promise sorrow and rot. A soft voice calls to me through the blinds. It beckons me to come. To taste it. To see. I want to burrow deeper in my warm shell; yet the deeper I go the more my curiosity grows. Slowly I shed off the pillows and blankets. I set my feet on the cold floor and walk towards the blinds. Reaching out I feel the slightest hesitation. I look into the white light and gasp.
