I've exhausted the Darnassus archives searching for what happened between the Alliance and the Worgan, and nothing. Not a blasted thing. I hate to admit it, but the Magi of Dalaran keep better records of past events and they havn' even lived through it. My patience with my own kind dwindles as I wait for Malfurion Stormrage to get his blasted bear butt out of the Emerald Dream. No records, no action... they're content living their lives in pure bliss. Hold on a second... the archives in Dalaran may hold the information I seek... I'll update on this page later tonight after I search the Dalaran Records!



Tuesday, Night time

I never would have believed what I had found if I hadn't lived through that period in time. Ur, a mage of Dalaran, did research on worgen but never summoned them. Frustrated by the destruction of Dalaran by the Scourge and against the advice of his peers, Archmage Arugal elected to summon an army of the extra-dimensional entities. Arugal himself, while I thought I knew better... What I found was that Arugal was once a member of the Kirin Tor of Dalaran. However after the Scourge destroyed Dalaran and many of the wizards died in battle and rose soon after, adding their former might to the growing Scourge, he fled to Shadowfang Keep which looms above Pyrewood Village. Frustrated by their lack of progress, and against the advice of his peers, Arugal used Ur's research to summon extra-dimensional entities to bolster Dalaran's diminishing ranks of his own. Arugal's summoning brought the ravenous worgen into the world of Azeroth. The feral wolf-men slaughtered not only the Scourge, but quickly turned on the wizards themselves. I guess what I was told about these Worgen was false...they were not our allies... merely tools that turned against their summoners.
