This journal post has been created to store entrant information on the contest specified in the title for the December Event 2009. The Event officially ended as of New Years Day at 12:00 am. Thank you to all our participants for making the event so successful!
FOR CHRISTIANS There are a few views of how Christmas should be celebrated. Our society has painted a lovely scene of Santa riding his sleigh to deliver many presents with his reindeer and so on. God painted a lovelier one of the Son of Man coming to die for us so we can be with Him in Heaven one day. This is the one Holly personally chooses to celebrate! If you also celebrate this, please briefly post about a blessing you’ve received THIS YEAR. Really think about it! There’s tons! Blessings are priceless, but I’ll still reward you with 2k for being bold enough to talk about God on Gaia. PLEASE! DO NOT criticize those who enter this contest if you aren’t entering. PLEASE! DO NOT criticize those who are not entering this contest if you are! Everyone has their own beliefs. You don’t have to agree with them, but you certainly should respect them. Prize For Contestants—2k
Nyx Queen of Darkness said this: I would like to share my blessing. I am a Christian and my recent experience in life has let me know that God has greater things in store for me. He spared my life, when he did not spare the life of my friend. I have been so sick and they told me how close I came to dying with this bout of swine flu. And it still scares me how close I came, and I still feel anxious about sleeping because I remember being intebated. But knowing that He is watching over me, that he's got something left for me to do and that when it's my time it's my time--all those things make me rest easier. I cannot express how thankful I am to be able to be with the ones I love on earth for awhile longer.
Sekhmet-chan said this: God has blessed me this year with more patience and a stronger spirit. In the last three semesters I have had to deal with major issues concerning my friends and "friends". Thanks to the grace of God, I have been able to cope with these issues more effectively without stewing on them and burning myself out or taking out my frustrations on my friends.
xXH i k a r i N a m iXx said this: I am a Christian and I truly believe in God. God has blessed me so much this year. I have had a lot of christmas` that were bad in the past but I believe the one thing that I love about christmas each year is that I spend it with my family. I don't care about presents nor if I don't get anything. Only if my family is safe and sound. I truly believe that things will be so much better this christmas especially since my whole family will finally get together under one roof.
AB91 said this: OK. I'm not Christian, but I do believe in God, so I hope I can still enter. If I think really hard about it, I have received many blessings this year. I think the blessing I am most grateful for is being able to meet a person who is very close and special to me for the very first time. I prayed day and night to God to let us meet this year. I was losing hope because of my controlling parents, but it finally happened the day before yesterday. I am really thankful as I had the best time ever.
