I sigh again as meaning
leaves my worthless life
my destiny to be alone forever.
The darkness within my heart
chokes out any other emotion
who knew darkness could be
so suffocating so devastating
if i had known it would choke
out that light of hope others
have i would have never dived
into that pool of darkened water
others find the light day after day
but i wallow forever in the dark pits
that was once my heart completely
consumed by the darkness within
me and lets it choke out the light
that was once bright.
