Laying on the lawn under a canapy of stars. Watching as one streaks across the sky. Dreaming of our future, laughing at our past. Of pillow fights and many nights, each spent together as one. I cry for my friend. The friend that picked me up when I was down and put me down when I was up. Our lives are like that star. Here briefly for a moment in time then extinguished as if never there. With a scattering of dirt my friend is ripped from my life forever only to live on in my heart. When the last star falls from the sky I will love you still.
