Okay, so some of you may have noticed my old, original story Crystal Dreams. I will start off by saying this, after re-reading the storyline I have discovered a few plot holes and plot expedition that I do not like. Simply put, I think it sucks. Period.
With this new revelation, I realized why I really didn't like it and why I had such a hard time fixing the several plot holes in the story. And that's because the story is not true to the original inspiration behind it, which is a dream I had. The dream goes as such, a girl is running in a forest where the trees are actually giant crystals. This girl is dressed in a white, flowing gown like a princess and with what seems like a white knight. The two stop by a cliff side, signifing that there is no where else to run and as they turn around-
A girl jolts up from her bed. Turns out it was just a dream. She gets up, and starts doing a mini-monolgue abotu how she has had that dream for a few years now and that it has continued for years. My dream flashes forward to the girl outside and talking to a fellow classmate. The two talk about the arrival of a new transfer student and my dream ends. As far as dream anaylsis goes, I really really need to stop watching anime late at night. XD
But it was this dream that spured an idea, "what if there was a story where all the action takes place in a dream?" Sadly, I threw this idea away for a more plausible, magical school based story. Looking back on it now, it wasn't the best idea I had. So, I think I'll revisit the original story line and try to re-write it. This time in script form. Mainly because I'm considering re-drawling Crystal Dreams as well.
