there are some really stupid people out there. K, so you know how if you google "milky way" you get pictures of galaxies that people are calling the milky way, right? but like...do these people not realize that those images are not of the milky way? we're in the god damn milky way. we haven't even left the solar system yet, let alone the ****** galaxy. i just had this conversation with my mate. Me: So, you know those pictures on google that claim to be the milky way? travis: yeah? me: how can people claim those pictures are the galaxy we're in? we can't see the outside of something we're in. travis: they take them from mars. me: i...don't think we can be frien...mars in the milky way too. travis:...shut up. also, what's with the name of our galaxy? our closest galactic neighbor is Andromeda. that's a badass name, and we get ****** milky way? someone dropped the ball on that.

	It's only one of the most delicious savory treats of caramel goodness wrapped in milk chocolate and put into bar form. Have you no respect?? But seriously, what are those photos then? Computer-generated images of what we think it looks like? Are they basically just really sweet-looking drawings?

	That seems ridiculous, yet makes sense? Anyway, as dumb as we humans can be its also pretty astounding when you think that we even KNOW about the milky way, much less the grand scale of it and our minuscule location within. Mindblowing yes?

	not really. we can see some of it, just not all of it. certainly not the entire thing from that far away.

	not really. drive out to the country and it's pretty easy to see. we have a general idea of it's size and our location in it, but other than that, we know jack s**t about it.
