So in English I have to write two paragraphs about a symbol and lyrics we choose to put in a project. I wanted to know if in the paragraph, stuff was spelled write or even made sense so here they are.

On my license plate I chose to draw a smiley face with its eyes closed and its tongue sticking out as my symbol. I choose this as my symbol because I always draw it at the end of my name. It’s a part of me now and I don’t feel complete unless I draw it after my name. This little tradition of mine all started because I enjoy bring a smile to people’s faces even if it’s at my own expense. When I say “at my own expense” I mean in the sense that I am willing to make fun of myself and not in the sense that it’s okay for others to make fun of me. I originally just put the little face at the end of my name on birthday cards to show that I was happy for them surviving this long but now I draw it after my name on everything. I found that when people looked to see who signed the letter or card or even whose name it was on the work sheet, a smile appeared on their faces when they saw the smiley face and that always brought a smile to mine!






For my lyrics on my license plate I wrote the chorus form a song call “So Beautiful” by the band Super Chick. It reads “We are a thousand voices strong. We are each girl who sings this song. We have a beauty that’s our own. And we are, and we are, so beautiful.” The whole song is about how girls are told that to be beautiful you must follow the norm of society but really everyone is born beautiful; to be truly beautiful all you have to be yourself. Out of the whole song, the chorus expressed this theme the best. The fact this song is mostly targeted towards girls makes me feel like it’s speaking to me personally although, it doesn’t stop guys from getting the same message out of the song and that also makes it one of my favorites. I think this set of lyrics represented me the best because I personally don’t wear make-up that often, I don’t wear the latest styles and I don’t starve myself to be skinny like they show on TV. In short I don’t follow the norms of the society; I am beautiful in my own way, style, and personality and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
