1/2 C softened butter or shortening
1/2 C oil
1 3/4 C sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C sour milk*
2 1/4 C flour
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 C finely chopped/grated Zucchini
1/4 C chocolate chips

Cream shortening, oil and sugar, add eggs, vanilla and sour milk, beat well. Stir in dry ingredients and beat well. Mix in zucchini. Turn the batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top and bake at 325 degrees F 40-45 minutes.


*To make sour milk, my mom just adds 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar to (almost) 1 cup milk. you can adjust the size, but that's the ratio.
