Abandoned Love


I feel like I'm stranded on an empty island
Slowly sinking towards the bottom of the sea
Held captive for so long in the thoughts of you
I can hardly recall what it's like to be free

I spend most of the time venturing my mind
Looking for anything related to happiness
But no matter what, at the end of the day
All I can remember from it is you and my loneliness

I always thought you were the reason of my existance
But since you've abandoned me, do I still carry on?
You didn't even seem to appreciate the things I gave you
And will you only start to care after I'm gone?
