My Life
This is the story of my life.
Hugh Jackman Story by User on Quizilla
This is a story i found on the internet...I love it:
Name: Melody West
Age: 26 Years Old
Riding Expereince: All Her Life
Persona: She is very fiesty and can be mean when someone doesn't listen. But she would never hurt a little child or horse. She would never abuse. The only way she can get mean is if she starts yelling, which doesn't happen too often. Mel loves horses and spends most of her time with them. Besides horses she hangs out with guys because the only other kind of girl that she runs into are the sissy ones who love to go shopping. She isn't liek that at all and will never be that way.
Extras: Mel has a limp. It is because of her right leg. When she was eleven she had been kidnapped and beaten. The guy had stuck a screw driver in the side of right leg just above the knee. Which now makes it harder for her to walk. But she still carries on and uses her cane every once in a while. Mel also has a claw mark on her shoulder from a mountain lion attack. 500 stitches and a lot of pain later the mountain lion was stuffed and placed on her porch as a statue to scare off intruders. It works, sometimes.
Name: Hugh Jackman
Age: 31
Riding Expereince: None
Sorry, no pic for Hugh. It won't load right. Sorry.
Setting: Countryside of Missouri.
Small horse farm with one barn complete with two arenas and many trails. Lots of corrals as well.

Chapter One
Meet Your New Student!

"Woohoo!!" shouted the brown haired girl as she fish tailed the black Impala. The girl in the back was laughing and yelling her head off as they drove down the gravel road. The other young girl was in the passenger seat screaming her head off. "Stop the car!!!!" She yelled at her sister who was driving.

Melody West did one last doughnut before slowly the car to 30 miles an hour and driving back down the dirt road toward home. The girl in the back, Ricki, frowned and sat back against the leather seat. "Ah man. That was fun." She said. Mel smiled and looked in the review mirror at the 12 year old. "Maybe another time, but we need to head home." She said.
Mel looked at her 12 year old sister in the passenger seat. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and she was wearingsleek glasses. Her name was Samantha or Sam. She patted Sam's leg. "There there chicken, we'll head home now so you can cower in your bedroom." She teased and chuckled. Sam smacked her on the arm and looked out the window.
Mel smirked and turned her attention to the road. Just then a black SUV flew past them headed in the same direction as them. "HEY! Watch where you're going jerk!" She shouted and rolled her eyes. Some people thought that they could just go and drive as fast as they wanted to because the gravel roads didn't have cops or speed limits. Yeah, she drove fast and messed around with her car but she had a gravel lot that she could do that in. Out of harms way.
Mel moved closer to the side of the road when her drive way came into view. She turned onto it and drove to the garage. She began rumaging in her bag on the console, getting ready to park in her usual spot when her sister screamed. "MEL!!!!" Mel jumped and slammed on the brakes. The car stopped just a few inches from hitting the sleek, black SUV's bumper.
Mel frowned and put the car in reverse before backing up and parking beside the SUV. She got out, helped Ricki out and slammed the door. Not only had that jerk sped by her but he had also parked in HER spot. She mumbled something under her breath and let out a sigh before slightly limping toward the front door. The girls followed behind her. They each gasped and stopped just inside the door. Mel had just kept walking. She grabbed a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water.
Mel didn't notice until she looked up and saw the girls standing there. She smirked and leaned against the counter, watching their faces. They had that "deer in the head lights" look. She chuckled and shook her head. "What is the matter with you two?" She asked. When she got no reply she frowned and looked in the direction of their gaze. There stood a very tall man. Proably around 6'1" or 6'2". He had short, brown hair. A little stubble on his cheeks and chin. He had twinkling brown eyes and a huge smile on his face.
Mel frowned and raised an eyebrow as her mother bustled into the kitchen. "About time you three got home! Hugh has been waiting for quite a while!" She huffed and wipped her hands on her apron. Mel rolled her eyes and took a sip of her water. " I doubt that mom. He illegally passed us earlier on the road when we were headed here. Oh AND he took MY parking spot!" She said.
Her mother, Julie, raised her eyebrows. She shook her head and pointed a finger at Mel. "Calm down. He didn't know and I'm sure he passed you because he was so excited to start his riding lessons. Isn't that right Hugh?" She asked and smiled at the man. The man smiled and nodded. "Oh yes, I love horses but I'm not very good at riding." He said, his Australian accent apparent. He flashed Julie a smile and leaned against the door jam. Julie blushed and turned to her daughter. "Isn't he lovely!?" She asked, basically gushing.
Mel rolled her eyes. "Oh just dreamy mom!" She said, sarcasm dripping from her words. She chugged the last drops of her water and placed the glass in the dish washer. "Pardon me while I 'freshen up', I'm sure Sam and Ricki would love to meet HIM." She said and pushed past Hugh. But this only caused her to run into something. Or someone. Mel looked at the 'thing' she had run into to find out that it was Liev Shreiber. Right behind him was Taylor Kitsch. All Mel could think was: "Great! Not only do I have Wolverine, but I also have Sabertooth AND Gambit!" "Excuse me!" She said and pushed past them as well.
Julie sighed. Why did her oldest daughter have to act like this? She shrugged it off and forced a smile while clapping her hands. "Well Ricki and Sam, would you like to meet the guys?" She asked. The two nodded and the group of six moved into the living room to talk. Meanwhile Mel hopped into the shower. She shivered at the cold water. She didn't allow her to use one drop of warm water. Maybe after she got out of this freezing shower Hugh and his X Men gang would be gone.
She rinsed out the shampoo from her hair and scrubbed all the soap off of her body. Mel turned the cold water off and sighed happily. Finally the coldness was gone. She smiled slightly and pulled the curtain back. Wrapping a towel around her body she combed and blow dried her brown hair. After it was dry she pulled it into a messy bun. Mel exited the bathroom and walked into her bedroom, they were connected together. Each bedroom had their own full bath. Thank goodness.
Mel opened up her under wear drawer and pulled out a black bra and matching under wear. She held them up to inspect them, she didn't want any holes. Just then her door open and there stood the devil himself. She squealed and through her under garments on the floor. In the process she checked her towel to make sure that it was firmly wrapped around her. It was. Hugh's mouth dropped open and he began to apologize. "I am so sor-" He began but Mel cut him off.
"This is MY bedroom. Get out! I don't even know why you're upstairs anyways." She said, practically shouting. Hugh frowned slightly when he was cut off. He shook it off and began speaking again. " I'm really sorry. But I am up here to find my room." He said. Mel frowned and studied his face. He wasn't lying. " Why do you have a room here?" She asked.
"I'm staying here for the next 10 months so I can get riding lessons. From, you." He said and smirked. Mel's brow furrowed together. Riding lessons? From her? Wait! She did remember her mom saying he was getting riding lessons earlier. But she said nothing about how long and if he was staying. "What?!" was all she could say. Hugh smirked.
"Meet your new student!"" He said and gestured toward himself. Then he closed the door and hurried down the stairs. He did not want to get yelled at again. Mel frowned and banged her fist on the dresser. God, she hated her life! She quickly dressed and headed down stairs to tell her mother off.

Chapter Two
Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em!

"So you're telling me that I am stuck with him for the next 10 months? You have got to be kidding me!" Mel shouted at her mom, Julie. The 46 year old woman shook her head and sighed in disapproval. Her daughter was taking this too far. She grumbled something under her breath before replying. "YES! You ARE stuck with him for the next 10 months! You WILL give him riding lesson and you WILL be nice! Understand me?!" She shouted.

Mel shook her head and rolled her brown eyes. Her mother was UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! "FINE! But if he gets smart, even a little bit, I WILL smack him! Do YOU understand ME?" She shouted. Mel crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow, waiting for her stubborn mom to repsonse. "Yes, but don't hit him too hard. I will give him permission to hit back. Have you seen his muscles? I'd watch out!" She warned and stormed out of Mel's bedroom. Mel shook her head and sat down on her bed. "Have you seen his muscles?" She mimicked. 'Whatever." She huffed and rolled her eyes.

Mel sighed and fell back against her comfy queen sized bed. She squeezed her eyes shut, hoping against hope that this was all a nightmare. Just then there was a knock on her door. She opened her eyes and sighed. "Come in." She said. The door opened and Ricki walked in. She sat down on the bed beside Mel. "Hey, Julie wanted to let you know that one of the ranch hands is tacking Hugh up a horse. This is her words and I quote 'Get your stubborn butt up, get outside and get on a horse. He needs a lesson, now!' Don't shoot the messenger." Ricki said with a small smile.

Mel chuckled and sat up. She patted Ricki on the shoulder. " I won't snap at you. Thanks for telling me." She said and smiled. Rick's smiled widened and she hugged Mel before hurrying down stairs. Mel stretched her arms up toward the ceiling and got up. She pulled on her cowboy boots and grabbed her tan cowboy hat. She shoved it on her head and headed downstairs.

She moved past her mother without speaking while moving through the kitchen and heading out the door. She had nothing to say to that stubborn woman. Mel trudged down the concrete steps and across the yard toward the barn. She entered and smiled as the smell of horse, leather and hay hit her nostrils. The typical smell of a barn. Man did she love that smell.

She moved down the aisles and stopped at one that held a beautiful buckskin gelding. Mel smiled and clucked to the gelding. The horse perked his ears in her direction and nickered before coming to the head of the stall. He nuzzled her head before she patted his neck. "Hey there Prince. Just wanted to say Hi before I headed to the arena." She said and smiled. The gelding nickered again before returning to his hay bag. She chuckled and headed out of the barn and toward the outdoor arena.

Mel stopped at the gate and watched as Charlie, one of their ranch hands held the bay horse as Hugh mounted. She raised an eyebrow and smirked when Hugh had to hop a few times because the horse moved. She chuckled and entered the arena. Hugh finally got on and Charlie waited for him to collect the reins before letting go. Mel wandered up and smiled at Charlie. "Thanks Charlie, I appreciate it." She said. The old man tipped his hat and smile. "No problem Mel, just helping the student." He said and chuckled.

Mel chuckled and nodded. " I see." She said. Charlie started to walk past herbut stopped by her side. He placed a hand on her shoulder and whispered in her ear. "Don't be too tough on him, ok?" He asked. Mel smirked and patted Charlie's hand. "I'll see what I can do." She said. Charlie wagged a finger at her and shook his head. "Nothing but trouble, that's what you are Mel. Please be nice." He said and exited the arena.

Mel smiled and turned to face Hugh, her smile quickly turning into a frown. She clapped her hands together. The bay snorted and tossed his head. He perked his ears forward and looked at Mel. She patted the mare's neck. She looked up at Hugh with one eyebrow raised. "Ready?" She asked, voice monotone. Hugh smiled and nodded.

Mel shook her head and sighed. Man this was going to be an interesting lesson. She stopped scratching the mare's neck and moved to the center of the ring. She clapped her hands together to get Hugh's attention. "Start your horse at a walk around the ring." She said. She let out a sigh as Hugh walked the horse along the fence. She cracked her knuckles. Let the lesson truly begin. "Smoke 'em if you got 'em!" She mumbled and shouted another command.

Chapter Three
Don't Touch Me.

Mel wipped the sweat from her brow as she headed out of the arena. It had been a looong lesson. And she still had to show him out to untack his horse and she should probably supervise the grooming. She pushed open the gate and waited as Hugh led the horse out of the ring. She shut the gate behind them and followed as they moved toward the barn. They entered and she pointed to a set of cross ties. "Lead her over there, I'll hold her and you go get her halter and lead." She said. Hugh nodded and handed the reins over. She took them and watched as he hurried to the tack room. Mel turned her gaze to the horse and smiled. She rubbed her nose. "You're such a good girl Diamond." Mel said. Diamond snorted and perked her ears forward.

Hugh came back and Mel showed him how to switch the bridle for the halter without letting the horse go. He did it perfectly and soon Diamond was tied in the cross ties. "I'll go get the brushes." Mel muttered and walked to the tack room. She rummaged around through some shelves before finally finding a bucket of grooming supplies. Man, this tack room needed to be organized. Again. She grabbed the bucket and hurried back to Diamond and Hugh. She handed Hugh a curry comb. "Get to work." She said. Hugh took the brush and smiled. He began combing one side while Mel took the other. She wanted to be as far away from him as possible.

They worked in total silence for the next 45 minutes. Finally the horse looking clean again. Mel quickly cleaned out her hooves and patted the mare's neck. "Alright, I'm sure Charlie showed you her stall. Untie her and take her there." She said. Hugh nodded and untied Diamond. He patted the mare and quietly talked to her as they headed down the aisle. Mel grunted as she squatted down to pick up a brush. Her bad knee popped loudly. She grimaced and slowly stood up. She tossed the brush in the bucket and carried it back to the tack room.

Mel put the bucket back on it's shelf. She exited the tack room and grabbed Diamond's tack. She made another trip to the tack room and sat the saddle on its rack and the bridle on its hook. She placed the saddle blanket in the washer. Seeing that that made the load full she put detergent in and started it. The washer hummed to life as she moved out of the tack room. Mel moved up and down the aisles for the next 30 minutes feeding the horses. She let out a breath and rested against a wall. Man, she was hot and tired.
She wipped her brow and stood away from the wall. She exited the barn and Charlie helped her push the two large doors closed. She wished Charlie good night and watched as he got in his old, beat up truck and drove down the road. She waved good bye again even though he couldn't see her. Mel started walking toward the house. Half where there she started limping. Her right knee was beginning to throb with pain. She had worked too hard today. She had almost reached the steps when her leg gave away and she fell onto the grass. "Oof!" She said and groaned.

Hugh had been in the kitchen helping Julie make supper when he saw Mel fall on the ground. He dropped the towel he was using and rushed out to help her. He knelt beside her and gently took her elbow as she slowly stood up. Once Mel had justified that she could stand she slapped Hugh's hand away. "Dont touch me." She growled and limped up the stairs. Hugh followed closely behind just in case if she fell he could catch her. Mel reached the top and pulled the storm door open. She stormed into the kitchen and up the stairs into her bed room. Hugh held the storm door opened and watched as she stormed off. He was just trying to help.

He looked over onto the porch and saw a stuffed mountain lion. He frowned and quietly shut the screen door. He walked over and gently ran hisfingersalong its head. That was interesting. Why did she have a stuffed mountain lion on the porch? "If you're wondering, it's a long story." Said a voice behind him. Hugh jumped and spun around to see Julie standing there, drying a dish. He nodded and followed her back into the house. "What happened?" He asked quietly. Julie placed the bowl in the drawer before checking on the pizzas in the oven. She tossed the dish towl on the counter and faced Hugh. "You'll have to ask her. Later. Not now. When she warms up to you." She said.

"I see." Hugh said. Ricki and Sam came bouncing into the kitchen just then. Each were giggling uncontrollably. Hugh raised an eyebrow. "What is so funny?" He asked. They each gasped for breath and in between giggles Sam said "The show on TV. Funniest home videos." She said and busted out laughing again. Julie chuckled. "The pizzas still have a few minutes, why don't we watch it with them Hugh?" She suggested. Hugh nodded and smiled. "Of course. I need a good laugh right now." He said. Julie and Hugh followed the giggling the girls back into the living room.

Mel had just gotten out of the shower a few moments before. She still had the towel draped on her shoulders to catch any drips from her wet brown hair. She ruffled her hair with the towel again before throwing it into the dirty clothes hamper. She stood in front of her full length mirror, arms crossed around her middle. Her hair was a wet mess around her head. She was wearing a black tank top with black Winnie the Pooh pajama pants. They were the long ones, not the capris. She hated the capris. It was either pants or shorts for her. Mel sighed and slipped on her slippers before moving down stairs.

Chapter 4:
Hugh! You're.......shirtless...

It had been a week of vigiorous riding lessons and guess who was the one getting tired? No, not Hugh. Mel. She was not only physcially tired but also mentally. Hugh was always talking and trying to charm her. In fact he has tried so hard that she is past the point of anger now she is at the tired point. The point where she just lets him go and tries her best to ignore him. After this week Hugh had shown great riding improvement since the first day he was in the saddle. For a treat Mel was willing to send him on a trail ride. But not with her. With Sam, who had suggested it in the first place.

----------------------

"So.......about that trail ride Mel." Hugh said, his Australian accent soaking his words. Mel rifled through the files in the filing cabinet. They were in the barn office. She looked up from what she was doing to see a smirking Hugh with his eyebrows raised. She put on an innocent smile, she already knew where this was going. He had asked five million times already earlier today. "What about this trail ride.....Hugh?" She asked sweetly. Hugh chuckled and shook his head. "Don't play dumb with me girl, are you going with me or not?" He asked, his smirk getting bigger.

"Hm. How about.........not?" She said and smirked. Hugh's smirk disappeared and a frown took its place. He moved up to stand in front of the desk that she was now sitting behind. "Why not Mel?" He asked. Mel looked up from the file and shrugged. She could name a lot of reasons why she wasn't going but it wasn't worth wasting her breath telling him. The main reason why she wasn't going. "Who am I going with?" Hugh asked. Mel wrote something on the file. She spoke without even looking up. "Sam. It was her idea in the first place and I agreed. Besides I can't anyways. Look at all this paper work!" Mel said, feining sadness.

Hugh chuckled at her acting. "I can fix that." He said. He leaned over and took the files from her hands and tossed them onto the floor next to the desk. Then he leaned the rest of the way over the desk. Hugh gently took her chin in his hand and kissed her. Mel's eyes narrowed when he threw the files onto the floor. She was about to complain when he took her chin in his hand and kissed her. Her eyes widened and she pushed his chest to get away. Hugh let her go and stood up straight. Mel swallowed and looked up at Hugh. He smiled. "Shame you won't be coming on the trail ride. See you later." He said and walked out.

Mel watched him leave and she let out a breath that she didn't know she had been holding. She ran a hand through her brown hair and fell back against the chair. Wow. She did not see that one coming. She also suddenly had this urge to chase after Hugh and go on the trail ride.We would be alone and we could......NO! She was not going to think about such things. Not about the guy who took her parking spot, won her mom and little sister over. Not the one that was oh so charming and dreamy and sexy and......STOP! Mel shok her head to get rid of the thoughts. They were awful! Where were they coming from?

------------------------

Sam nudged the grey horse forward into the creek. She laughed as the horse pawed the water, splashing both of them. She looked back at Hugh who was just riding up on Diamond. He chuckled and rode deeper into the creek. The water was up to his knees when Diamond decided to play around. Admist all the playing Hugh ended up falling off into the water. He began swiming around, splashing water on Sam. The blonde girl laughed and jumped into the water with him. They splashed the horses and played other pool games before Hugh called it a day.

The two led their horses out of the creek and mounted. Hugh frowned at the heat and peeled his wet shirt off. Thankfully Sam was riding in front so she wouldn't be gaping. Hugh appreciated the 'compliments' and usually dealt with it with good humor. But today the only person he wanted gaping at him was Mel. If she would gape. Probably not. But he was still going to try. They rode in silence all the way back to the barn. Sam gaped a little after they had dismounted but finally got over it. They groomed their horses and let them out into the pasture.

"I'm gonna go help mom with lunch!" Sam said before running to the house. Hugh nodded and entered the barn. He moved to the end where the office was. Crossing his fingers behind his back he peeked around the corner to look through the picture window of the office. He frowned when the blinds were pulled. Dang. Now he couldn't see if Mel was in there. He shrugged and walked up to the door knocking. Hugh waited when the door finally opened. And there stood Mel.

Mel adjusted her tee shirt before looking to see who had knocked. Her eyes widened when she saw a wet, shirtless, smirking Hugh Jackman. She swallowed and frowned. "Hugh! You're........shirtless." She said, the surprise and awe evident in her voice. Hugh smirked some more and nodded. "Yes I am. Must I repeat from earlier: It's a shame you're not going on the trail ride." He said. Mel looked him in the eyes and shook her head. "Show off." She muttered and turned away. But Hugh grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a passionate kiss instead.
