Well, it's that time of year again... Those few days between the visit of the man in Red and the All Night Party marking a new year. Heh I've noticed I don't enjoy Christmas as much as I use to. It doesn't hold it's magical alure, I may have grown out if it, but my bf is also a bit of a party pooper when it comes to the holidays, and maybe all his complaining and "bah humbug" attitude is rubbing off... I don't want that. I mean think about it. Christmas is the one night of the year where a kid can get away with mistaking the red light of a low flying air plane as Rudolfs nose. and where parents will throw on their boots and tromp around in the snow with a couple of 2x4's (or skies) just so a kid can wake up and think Santa's sleigh was in the front yard. Think my fav was the 1/2 eated carrot that works for reindeer as well as easter bunnies. And then there is all the gifts. I think what I miss most is not opening up gifts with my family. Because of all the running around my Bf and I do to visit his family, we open our gifts Christmas eve before we go to bed then leave early to have breakfast with his family (they live a couple hours away). I would love to just cart all our gifts to one place spend the night and open them with family and friends early in the morning. But that won't happen any time soon. sigh guess I know where my Christmas magic has gone to....lost it to a guy who has no christmas spirit.....bummer Tomorrow I go back to work, and don't plan on doing much celebrating New Years Eve as I am on mornings this week. But even though I am a bit bummed out this year, I hope everyone else is having a fantastic time.
