The band consists of 5 members as of now Mana – guitar, Seth – vocals, K – guitar,and vocals, Sugiya – bass, Hayato – drums. Mana is also the creator of the band as well as the writer, composer, and costume designer. He is man of very little word, seriously, he doesn't talk in public he considers his music to be his voice, and to speak for him (wikipedia) And let me tell ya he has alot to say, his music is a unique balance of classical music, dark lyrics, and powerful rock.
But they are not just a goth rock band they also visual kei so that means their costumes are AWESOME. Pale skin, black lips, flamboyant somewhat androgynous black clothes, avant garde hair, never looked so good. Moi Dix Mois makes darkness look aggressive and beautiful all at once. The costumes are great help to their music because it is just another element to the equation that makes their music what it is. Plus Mana's he's just so gorgeous in his costume and his skin is perfect. Sorry having a girly moment blaugh .
Tread softly toward this music because once you find it you'll never go back you want to be a part of them, then before you know it you'll be wearing gothic lolita clothes, and learning german because you know Moi Dix mois plays there alot. Well that might happen thats just one of the scenarios. xd Its dark and thats the way i like it. With 4 Albums and 4 Singles, 3 DVDs Moi dix Mois will send you to a beautiful darkness that will last a while.
I give this band a 5 out of 5 unique, dark, and a healthy dose of Goth with visual kei and beautiful music. And with so many albums this band will keep busy in the underworld headbanging and swaying to that gorgeous classical music infused goth metal music.
