Caught within deception
were tangled in a web of lost goodbyes
we look out to the world
trying to see our paradise
only to close our eyes
at the last possible moment
as we try for perfection
we end up settling for rejection
to please the world
we act like puppets
moving to their every command
we pray for the instant
were we cut all the ties
only to lose control
and be stuck in this problem
without a solution..
