I see
Through tired eyes
A dim light on the horizon
Reach out and try to touch it
With a smile, I watch it fly off into the distance
Darkness, Darkness...Darkness
It sinks into your skin
Letting it smother me
Expanding my wings
Attempting flight
And the feeling is fleeting
Cant get off my feet
This weight, its just too much
Pressing a cold glass to my lips
Drinking that sweet thick nectar
Its still dark
I dont bother to wonder when the light will come again
For i now know the true intentions of light
It is to show you
What is best,
Even when you are unable to touch it
