god, life is random
Chapter 3
"Tell me everything you can, head to toe, every detail." Gyra said to Dr. Slock as she looked up from where Justin lay. "Let's start with the occipital bone, the back of the head, then." Dr. Slock said as he put his gloved hand underneath Justin's head and lifted it up to show Gyra specific places where the head had been shaven areas. "These are concussions," he said as he pointed to the bruises and marks on the head, "They were probably aquirred during some kind of struggle that Justin, here, was in. While fighting, as indicated by these defensive wounds on the arms and on the chest," he points to the body parts, "he was stabbed and then pushed into something: a wall, down to the sidewalk, a counter, maybe he was even struck with the blunt end of the weapon. Whatever it was, he made a good fight before he was stabbed. These marks, on the occipital bone, were only mild concussions, but his brain still shoke around in there before he even died. When I opened up the skull, there was alot of extra blood from the concussions and the head being shaken around." Gyra examines the wound as best she can, judging by all the doctoring she knows how to do is from a CSI addiction and 1 semester in pre-med. However, Gyra still ahd her eyesight, and she was glad for it too as soon as she spotted a shiny object on one of the wounds from the head. "What's that?" she asks as she points to the shiny object that caught the light as Dr. Slock turned the head to see what Gyra was talking about. " I don't...know," he says as he waslks across the room and pulls out some twizzers from a drawer. Dr. Slock seems to take a long time by the drawer. As he walks back over he finishes his reponse saying, "but we are about to find out." Dr. Slock uses the twizzers and pulls the shiny object out of the wound and places it in a small, plastic dish, a petri dish. "We'll send this over to the lab. why don't you go and take it over to find out it is?" asks Dr. Slock as he puts the petri dish into gyra's gloved hands. Gyra replies, "I guess i could go, but...." "ok then, the lab is on 453 E. Dones St. I hope you find what you're looking for." interrupts Dr. Slock as he heads her out of the room on the right, th room full of lost emotions, and out the front door. "See you later!" he calls out as he closes the door on her.

"Bye?" Gyra replied confused. "What was that all about....?" she murmurs under her breath, "What did i do...?" She begins to walk down the street, talking to herself and looking like a complete idiot with gloves and a petri walking down the city street. As soon as she realized that she didn't really know where she was going, Gyra flagged down a cab and asked the driver to take her to 453 E. Dones St. "right away, Miss." replied the female voice from the front seat of the cab. "Oh my goodness, you're a woman!" exclaims Gyra, not meaning to say it aloud. She begins to correct herself by saying, "I'm sorry, didn't meant to insult you, it's just...we don't see a lot of female drivers out here." Gyra looks at the driver at a red light while the driver turns aroud to see her. "It's fine, Miss," she says, "I get it all the time." The driver and Gyra have brief, basic conversation as they might in a taxi before Gyra reaches ther stop. "This is it, Miss. 453 E. Dones St." says the driver. "Thank you." says Gyra as she pays the driver.

Gyra stands staring at this building that she has been sent to by a rushed coroner as the taxi heads off. "453 E. Dones St." Gyra says aloud, as if not to forget where she was and never forget this moment. Crime Scene Investagators was the title on this building. "this is it," she thought, "This is the CSI builing. This is where I'm going." Gyra took a few deep breaths and stepped forward and pulled open the glass door. A rush of cold air from the air conditioned builing hit her in the face as she walked in onto a tile floor. Gyra couldn't believe it. "This is where they solve crimes, this is the CSI lab of real life!!!" she thought excitedly. Gyra turned in a cirle a few times, observing all that she could of the room before a woman behind the counter called to her, "Ma'am, may I help you?" Gyra stopped her observation of a strange painting and approached the counter. "I have this 'sample' from the body of Justin Lavo. He's a victim in a recent homicide case." Gyra stated with the most professional etiquette for a crime scene lab. "do you work here?" asks the woman behind the counter as Gyra made an effort to read her name tag. Sandy-it read, Sandy. "Well, Sandy, I don't, but I was Justin's fiancè and I'm here to give evidence directly to a CSI, scientist, investagator, or whatever they're called." Gyra repiled without the slightest touch of grace when naming the "scientist" she wanted to give the substance to. "Okay, well Ma'am, I'll send you to the back to a CSI on the case."

Sandy led Gyra to the back of the office and lab. Gyra trying to stay focused on where she was walking and staying professional, but she was literally staring at this place. It was just like in the shows, gorgeous.

"This is Jenny and she's our main CSI on the case of Justin Lavo." Sandy says as she introduces Jenny to Gyra, "but, sorry, Ma'am, I didn't catch you name." "Oh sorry, I'm Gyra." she says confidently as she can without being professionally intimidated. She shakes hands with Jenny as Sandy explains the situation to Jenny.

"Let's see this evidence, then." says Jenny, quite nicely. "Okay, this shiny piece of whatever-it-is is from the coroner's office. We found it on one of the marks from the concussions." Jenny smiles when she says, "Well, you're quite the little detective, aren't you?" Gyra and Jenny share a brief laugh before Jenny asks, "So, to get into the corner's office, you have to have relation to the patient. What were you to Justin Lavo? Sister? Cousin?" Gyra's heart sinks to the floor as she answers, "I was his fiancè." Jenny looks up at Gyra, alarmed, and spoke quickly, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bring up those memories for you again." Gyra looked back at Jenny, seeing concern in her eyes, then recalled the same look in the coroner's eyes before he rapidly shoved her out of the building. Gyra immediately hid her emotions, "It's ok. I just want to find out who did this." "Let's figure it out, then." Jenny said nicely.

The printer rumbles as Gyra waits nervously over it waiting for the results of whatever was in the head of her deceased fiancè. "It says 'thermoplast.' What's that?" Gyra says. "It's...plexiglass.... That's strange....hmmm...." Jenny says as she goes into her own little world of caculating what this could be related to.
