Vexen: Honestly, those neophytes. -sighs- They simply have no restraint.
Zexion: -reading a book- To be truthful, I sympathize with Larxene. To miss an excellent opportunity is a terrible thing indeed. I admit myself surprised, however, that Demyx went after her.
Vexen: -sniffs- Only because he was worried for Naminé. Still, there was some merit in what he did. Completely suicidal, however. I almost wonder why he cannot confess his infatuation...
Zexion: -fumbles with his book- -tries to act casual- Oh? Demyx is interested in some one?
Vexen: .... -facepalms- Teenagers
Demyx, Larxene, and Voxden come in, the men looking shocked. (Ba dum pish. ) Larxene just smirks.
Larxene: Of course, it would have been better if I could have gone inside and given a little talk to those three sweethearts, but oh well. Lightning works just as well, right?
Zexion: So, you were unsuccessful in your attempt to infiltrate the spork Luxord was attending? A shame, truly.
Demyx: -whines- She kneed me in the gut, Zexion! And then she told... -shudder, whimper, trauma- Oh, I did not need to know that! Controllers shouldn't go there!
Nadra: Quit your belly-aching and sit down. Fic is going up in 3, 2, 1...
Chronophilia Complex:
The Price You Pay
The Price You Pay
But first, an author's note!
Zexion: The question of the day is, can this person truly be called an author?
Bah. Another crappy, old writing chapter. This one is super short
Everyone: -cheers-
and I almost cut it but I felt it was important since it leads up to the next chapter in the way that it is an explanation of Zexion’s actions.
Demyx: Horsefeathers, if they'd just cut it, then we wouldn't be here for as long! -sulks-
Zexion: I can already tell that this attempt at "explaining" is going to be idiotic and grossly OOC.
Anyway… Piss a** chapter. Balls to me. Try to enjoy…
Vexen: Tch, enjoy this slop? It was more enjoyable having a chakram stuck in my chest.
Larxene: Well, if you insist~
It had been a week and Vexen hadn't come to see Zexion at all. He wondered if that one night was the last time he'd ever see the doctor.
Demyx: Hey, guys, look! That seems normal, right? In-character?
Zexion: It's unfortunate that he's right, Vexen. You rarely care for others' well-being.
Larxene: Tch, you're such a pill.
He kept replaying the events of that evening in his mind theatre like a looped reel. Eventually he'd given up hope entirely of ever getting any answers from Vexen. He let out a heavy sigh and rested his head in his hand.
Larxene: And here's the worlds tiniest violin, Zex.
"Don't let it bother you..." Axel smirked.
"I'm not letting anything bother me."
Zexion: Wrong answer. Now you're just giving things away, you fool! And you should never give things away to Axel.
Zexion glared at Axel and looked away from the usual group. "I'm just tired."
"Tired my a**. You miss him..." Marluxia giggled.
Larxene: Nobody's home in this author's head, are they? I mean, s**t, Marluxia never giggles. WATCH CANON OVER AGAIN, FANBRAT. Don't make me come over there and 'take you for a ride'.
Demyx: Since when did you start using 20s slang? -sulks- Luxord taught me that!
Larxene: Oh, dry up. You aren't the only one who hangs around with Luxord.
"But it isn't your fault. It happens to everyone."
Zexion looked up at Marluxia. "What are you talking about?"
"Dr. Even." Marluxia smirked knowingly and batted his eyelashes.
Larxene: -gets out kunai and sparks threateningly-
Nadra: No ******** up the ******** theater!
Vexen: -stiffens- Tell me this won't be a 4/11 fic, please.
"We all get a doctor. They hang around with us for a couple of months... It's an observation period. Then they get reassigned once they collect all their data. We're lucky if we see them once... Maybe twice within the next year. Then each year they come back to check up on us for about a week. See if anything is changed... Decide if we get an early release or not. The usual..."
Vexen: -makes a frustrated gesture- That's not how hospitals of any sort operate.
Zexion: Again with the lack of research? -facepalm-
Vexen: ....That's not how hospitals work.
Larxene: We heard you the first time, you moron.
Marluxia shrugged. "You can't help the doctor-patient attachment that you feel. It happens to us all. They make you feel so special and then they're gone. It hurts, I know."
Demyx: Wait, aren't these guys like, trained professionals? Wouldn't they know they're hurting their patients? Mentally ill patients?
Larxene: You'd think, huh?
Demyx: But... aren't... you not supposed to do that to crazy people?
Zexion: -dryly- You'd think.
Vexen: This author obviously didn't.
Zexion growled and crossed his arms. "It isn't that at all! I could care less about Dr. Even!"
Zexion: I truly, literally could.
It wasn't true and he knew it. He missed Vexen. He wanted him back... He didn't like the idea that he'd been reassigned to another patient. Vexen was his doctor. Nobody else's!
Larxene: Ooooh, possessive much?
Axel smirked widely and nudged Marluxia. "Go ahead Mar... Tell the kid how to get his doctor's attention back."
Demyx: Why would Marluxia know?
Larxene: By complete accident. You piss off some one a lot, and you kinda eventually end up getting their attention a lot.
Zexion snapped his head up and glared at Axel. "What are you saying?"
Marluxia giggled. "Oh honey...
Larxene: -twists around in her seat- HEY! Freakshow duo, can I embark on a quest of vengeance to murder this author in an appropriate nightmare fuel fashion so that Marluxia will have his dignity back use the lady's room? Gotta powder my nose, if you know what I mean.
Demyx: -almost touched- Aww, Larxene, you really are a swe-
Larxene: That b***h will so owe me, then.
Demyx: And I take everything back.
Nadra: No. Now sit back down and drink your goddamn tea.
If you want Dr. Even back in your little white room all you have to do is act out. And I mean act out bad... Attack a nurse, threaten an orderly or a fellow patient... He'll be back on your case in minutes."
Vexen: I should still be on your case anyway.
Zexion: Now that I'd want you to be.
Zexion gawked at Marluxia. "Seriously? It's that simple?"
Demyx: Dude, is it ever?
Marluxia shrugged. "Well, it comes at a price. Your freedom... The crazier you act the longer you stay. If you ask me, no doctor is worth that."
Zexion: And I agree. Even you, Vexen. I do apologize.
Vexen: Oh, don't bother yourself over it. I wouldn't do it either.
Axel laughed knowingly. "Besides... That's not what's bothering you, remember? Why do you care?"
Zexion glared at Axel. "Shut up!"
Axel snorted loudly. "Whatever kid. To each his own."
Voxden: Aaaaand, break time, kids! Go on, off to your food and your drinks, and your loud rock music.
