Seeing as everyone seems to be responding to this, I will to.

Yes, we "writters" (what the ******** is that? Some perverse hybrid of a writer/twitter person?) are completely depressed. All we do is sit at our computers/desks, have the gun lying on the mantle (no joke), drink la fée verte (you didn't catch that, did you?) and stare at blank sheets of paper until drops of blood form on our foreheads.
