war is like,
a game of chess.
there are two kings,
calling the shots,
to other, lower, kings, their pawns,
to fight and die.
this game of chess,
can rage of for years on end,
and sometimes, it may never end,
an eternal stalemate of prolonged death.
but eventually,
someone gains the upper hand,
finds a weak point in a formation,
a kink in the enemy's armor.
and the kings pawns and knights,
bishops, rooks,
and his beloved queen,
all fall, and the king is toppled.
and then the deadly game is over,
but eventually start again.
