NIGHTMARE

"This world was made to torment all humanity. That's a fact." The man that stood
at the center of the aisle spoke, with eyes displaying certain anger and fury.
The judge knocked the mallet twice, closing his stressed eyes at the inevitable debate.

"Do you have any proof with your answer?" Mr. Slacis questioned, with his arms folded
on his newly bought black suit. All the audiences seemed to agree, but it's better to not
talk too soon.

I looked down at the wooden table, clenching my fists at the stupidity of this useless
argument which was basically made by a low life or to be specific, a slave from a poor
town of the suburb of this city. It wasn't right after all. That idiot shouldn't have
said anything from the start.

I wanted to stand, blurt out my opinion in front of the judges and see their faces
expressed with shock but I couldn't. It would only be a burden and can only cause me
to regret. It would ruin my pure identity.

"No. But I do have an answer." The man spoke again, looking down at his ragged shoes as the
dirt from it scraped across the once clean red carpet underneath his feet.

"And what would be that? That you are guilty after all? Causing trouble and pain
to all people? Causing shock--"

"Shut the hell up." The man glared, cutting off the sentence of Mr. Slacis'. His eyes
looked directly towards him, filled with fury once again.

"Why you insolent little slave!" Mr. Slacis growled, spatting out various vulgar words at
the man who was assumed to have lied at the very start.

"You have no right to say such things! Remember here you worthless pile of s**t, you're
nothing but a slave! A man who shouldn't have existed! For the name of Jesus Himself!"

The man only laughed but it got louder and louder until the whole stadium could hear his
demonic, heinous laugh.

"Like I said. Jesus Himself caused trouble for all humanity. He made us so that we could
be His dolls; he made us for Him to enjoy the torture and pain we're all going through." The
man explained.

"Lies!" Mr. Slacin shouted as he ran towards the man that quickly faded into dark ashes.
From that, everyone got shocked. So the man wasn't a human after all. That could explain
all the troublesome problems he have brought to us all.

I sighed, grabbing the dagger that hung from my pocket as I stabbed it into the wooden table,
happy that everything he said was a lie. I could've sworn he was a demon, all this time but
the question is... why haven't any person told us that he was a demon? That, he wasn't
human at all? Or maybe, Lucifer had cast a spell on us to get our common sense out of our
brains?

"Glad that's over." I whispered as my feathery wings spreaded, my clothing being back to its
angelic form. The sash appeared right on my shoulder, as my dagger transformed to a whole
new scythe with gold curves and designs encarved on it. My once auburn hair turned to
a shaggy blonde, with bangs covering my forehead. Gold earrings appeared on my ears, five
piercings on both, and one snake-bite piercing on the left part of my lower lip. From green
eyes, it turned to an icy, vibrant blue. It was as if everything of me was turning to
an angel or that's what I thought.

*

I opened my eyes once again but everything was different. My form was demonic, piercings
painted with the bright color of blood, the scythe covered with life, and my form
had the majority color of pitchblack. I was a demon after all. No, I was the demon after all.
I looked upwards, looking at the mischievous grin of my master.

"Had a good dream?" He laughed, with his claws scratching across the stone edges of his
throne.

"No. It was nothing but a dreamed nightmare." I laughed with him.
