You lay down on the sofa,
As you reach for the chips,
As you drink from your soda,
I wish the cup was my lips,

As I turn off the light,
You call me to bed,
As you tell me "its alright"
You begin to stroke my head,

As you start to embrace me
You begin to say in my ear,
"I love you my dear Katie"
Then I start to shed a tear,

Summer nights and summer days,
Go by just like a dove,
All I have left to say,
Is summer's just like love.
