Allow me to be OOC for a moment here, knowing full well that this is like talking to a brick wall.
Lots of people keep saying that Freddie avatars should have darker skin. This is a false and somewhat racist statement. HE DID NOT HAVE DARK SKIN. I'll accept that the vampire skin is probably too pale. As I said in my previous post, I chose it for the eyes. But people are saying it for ones with the normal Caucasian skin too. These people are seeing with their bias instead of their eyes. Does he look dark skinned to you?
(He is the same color as that blonde woman!)
They say he should have dark skin because they read somewhere on the interwebz that he was Indian. His parents were from India. He was born in Tanzania and went to boarding school in India but HE WAS NOT ETHNICALLY INDIAN. He was Persian. Persians are white. See that girl in the picture in the link? She's Persian. She's white. Click to zoom in. I like her buttons. ;D
Before anyone says so, I am not the racist one here. I have an interest in ethnography and have studied it quite a bit. Also, I personally have dark olive skin. As much as I would like to be as much like Freddie as possible, he was not dark skinned like me. I can see that from the hundreds of photos of him that exist. Why do these other people not trust their eyes?
