Alone in the stillness,
in that calm part of my heart.
Lies the answers to the questions
that always start.
The worries, the fears,
The wants, the desires...
Demanding and strong.
They burn inside like fires.
Rage inside me...flickering.
Flames that eat and burn.
Never stopping, never ceasing,
Causes me to turn...
A lone hand comes,
from out of the dark.
Reaching and searching,
Please help my heart.
Your voice a soothing balm,
Your fingers cool my fire.
Your eyes see to my soul.
And they see my desire.
My port in a storm,
My rock in the ocean.
Touch me, hear me,
So that I'm never alone.
