You've gripped me in
Your steely clutch
Because you want me
Far too much
You want to control my life
Decide what's allowed
You want me to suceed
To do you proud
You want me to be beautiful
And when I'm sad, not to cry
Even though you told me
That it is bad to lie
You want me to follow
Every step you take
Like a sleep walking child
You never want to wake
You want me to hazily agree
To do anything you ask
And to paint over misery
With a pure girls mask
You want everything perfected
Everything you see
And for it all to be reflected
Reflected in me
So you can push me forwards
To hide the things you've hated
To show the world my sculpted mind
To see what you've created
And it won't take more than a crack
Before I fall apart
Because you've remoulded too often
My brusied, broken heart
You want me to tell you
Why the ******** I'm upset
So I'll start telling the truth now
Because you haven't heard it yet
Did you ever think about what I WANT?
I felt all this pressure - I'm not numb
I too felt the torture
To which you've made me surcumb
To illustrate to the world
What you have become
One more operation to perfection
Then maybe I'll be you. Mom.

Everyone promises you a happily ever after.... but life turns into a different kind of fairy tale.
