As You Lay There Sleeping

As you lay there sleeping

I wait till your fast asleep, once I hear you snore I creep through the bedroom door hoping to rekindle that feeling once more

Crawling under the covers thinking back to when we were once lovers
Your body so soft and warm

My finger tips trace your skin and remembering those kisses way back when you used to love me

As you lay there sleeping,
I try not to wake you with my heart broken weeping
During the day we don't have much to say, seems though your mind is miles away

Your the only girl in my sight, so many times I've made love to you in my mind as you lay there in the middle of the night

I resent the loneliness that I've spent, it makes me so feel broken and bent

I dreamed our marriage we would ride off in a horse and carriage happily ever after, but tomorrow is just another day and now it just doesn't seem to matter anyway
