I've been shuffling through songs
Just for some kind of inspiration
But the words bate like blood
Blood boiling with frustration
I've been scribbling out lyrics
on my floor and on my walls
And on leaves of tinted paper
Now are crumbled paper balls
I've been painting messed up pictures
To illustrate whats in my brain
Just jigsawed squares of black and white
To portray I'm past insane
I've been knocking back on long needles
Hoping they'll take me somewhere new
Somewhere where I can take a pen
And explain how I feel about you
I've been drowning in my sorrows
Trying to find a way to make it real
Maybe this heart aches the only way
