Nancy Drew: Getting Burned
Nancy Drew is a girl detective, even though she doesn’t have a license or isn’t in the right age, she does the right thing: putting criminals in where they belong. With her best friends Bess and George, there’s no case they can’t solve.
One night, Nancy awoke from a terrible nightmare and come into a sight of heavy smoke. She went into her car and drove to where the smoke and sirens came from. Nancy felt bad for what she saw was the River Heights Animal Shelter, where she had volunteered, she thought about the poor animals inside the burning shelter and tried to save them, until Justine Tamworth, executive director of the animal shelter, stopped her. Justine told Nancy that there was nothing to worry about because all the animals were moved to the shelter in West River two days ago because the building was being painted. The two women approached the fire chief, Chief Cody Cloud and according to him the cause of the fire was faulty wiring. But the building was just inspected and it was brand new. Nancy didn’t accept the fact that it was just because of bad wires, she knew there’s more to know, nothing can stop her not even Chief McGinnis, the police chief who didn’t like her to interfere with the investigation business.
Nancy met a guy named David Wells, who first saw the fire and called 911 while he was jogging earl in the morning. He was the vice president of the new business development at Rackham industries and had just moved from New York City to River Heights. Nancy felt suspicious for he was defensive, to get away from the situation. Justine told Nancy that the building was to be painted by peter Sandover from a new business called Peter Paints, sure enough , he was assigned to paint the inside of the building having the authority to also have a key to it.
Nancy returned to her house and searched information about David Wells, everything about him turned out to be ordinary, next she searched the company Peter paints and Peter Sandover, but there was no company or person by those names.
Nancy kept on thinking about the fire that occurred on the River Heights Animal Shelter and also the mysterious appearance of an unknown painter that now can be nowhere to be found. Justine came over Nancy’s father to talk about some legal issues regarding the Animal Shelter. It turned out that, Rackham Industries is a large company giving many offers to Justine, if Justine can’t rebuild it she has got no chance but to sell it. Twenty thousand dollars where needed for it’s rebuilding, so Nancy got an idea of throwing a benefit concert for it.
There were many problems interrupting the show but later on it was performed
According to their plan, they raise money for the Animal Shelter and even caught the criminal behind this who happened to be David Wells as well as his companion who acts to be a painter for he wants a promotion from his boss David.
