This world is highly amusing. It appears as though all of existence is nothing more than a big game of deception. We trick each other all the time. Sometimes for ridiculous reasons, sometimes for consequential reasons. In the end, someone decieves and cheats for the mere purpose of prideful victory. No, I cannot even say that. Everyone decieves, but cheating is only cheating if you get caught. Though today something strange happened. It was a complete anomoly in this case. I was witnessing a love triangle in the making. Normally, this results in two people fighting for the heart of the third. However, this result was odd. Instead of contest, there was forfeit. One of the people in this triangle had given up the chance to be with someone he wanted to be with, rather than try to earn that chance. Not only that, he forfeited with someone who is on complete equal terms with him. What was even more odd was that the victor of this ended up rejecting what he had earned. I cannot find an explanation for this. Maybe this can lead to something I have not found out about the guillable human mind...
