Amy woke up from this dream. It had bothered for four long years after her mother was mauled by an "animal". Amy knew the truth the police tried to keep from her. The uncutted truth. But, of course they wouldn't tell a 12 year-old that the one who killed her was a vampire. Every one knew of there kind, but few decided to challange them. Amy flopped off of her bed, and looked in the mirror that had cracks vibrating from each side. She looked at the girl in the mirror. She was tall and slender with long blonde hair that reach her thighs and poppy green eyes. She looked like a greek goddess. Her slender hands reached up to smooth out her flawless hair. Amy put on a cream turtle neck sweater with a black sweater over the top. She then put on a pair os jeans that hugged her thighs and came down to show off her long slender legs. With that she took some rosy pink lipstick and dabbed it against her mouth softly. She smiled slightly at she took a comb and brushed the fine hair. She did this until she heard a beep. Jasmine was here. Amy slowly got on her black coat and stepped out of the empty house. Taking one last look inside she locked the door and headed to Jasmine's car. A red Mustang was parked there. She must had gotten this one from one of her boyfriends, Amy thought quietly, getting in. She looked around inside of the vehicle as Jasmine started up her rambiling on the new boy and car. Amy wasn't listening to her friend, instead she looked outside of the car window and nodded at the appropriate moments.

At the school, she was greeted by new faces turning her way. Jasmine was really the only person she knew since coming to Portland, Oregon. She came here with her foster familyand met Jasmine over the summer. Amy was use to Jasmine's shedule by now, wake up, eat go swimming, pick up Amy,go to school or on weekends the mall, drop off Amy, meet up with boyfriend, party, swim, eat, sleep. It was quite mind boggiling that she ever finished her homework, if she did at all. Jasmine was...a different person, a unique but fragile person. Amy sighed and walked into the registration booth in the office. She felt stares stab her back, but chose to ignore them, until she felt one that was full of pure hatred. "Um, please excuse me...There is something I need to do." the receptionist was gazing at her in awe and nodded quickly, trying to break the spell. Amy turned around and stopped dead in her tracks. The yellow eyes pierced through her. The ones that haunted her dreams and killed her mother. There was no mistaking it.
