The weirdest thing happend to me, quite funny but yet sad. Yesterday, I left my guild because I didn't like the "new" and "improved" direction it was taking. I had just recently joined the guild, and was a kind small guild that had true potential for greatness. Then it all started to change...
My first warning light lit when the stylistically pure front page was removed and replaced by a weird collage. That looked like it had been thrown together in photoshop in like five minutes, it was plain aweful. It had the wrong resolution which made the picture pixelate and the text almost unreadable. The magnitude of different colours was horrible because of the many different styles of the pictures in the collage. I made a complaint about this but everyone else in the guild seemed to approve of the new frontpage...so I gave in..(I'm not going to stare at the guilds frontpage all day anyway)
Everything was fine and dandy for a few weeks, but then my second warning light lit. there been major changes to guild forum it self. Subforum had been renamed or removed, the structure had been slighty altered and stuff like that. The most annoying part must have been that the subforums titles had been abbreviated, I was going to remark this, but little did I know what was about to happen....
Monday evening, I log into gaia and checked "my guilds", then final warning light flicked on. I found a disturbing problem: The guild that I had recently joined wasn't there. First I thought I had been kicked out for unknown reasons, but then I found it. It had complete changed, everything I liked about it was gone. The name, the subforums and just about everything was gone. I posted a topic demanding an explination and pentention to bring back the old guild. Both posts were removed within 24 hours. So yesterday I though: Fugde it! I'm leaving, so I sent PM to guildmaster with my resignation and complaints.
The darnest things happend: The guildmaster contacted me, and said that my guild would be available for a few exlusive members. I had checked the guild's new forum and it would be ressurected in a Subfourm, so I said it wouldn't be the same. Then guildmaster claimed that these changes of guild, was not prement. That the changes was only a loyality test and those whom stayed would be greatly rewarded(I'm not going to mention the reward because it's just too childish). I called his lie and then he started to call me "noob" and claiming how pleased he was, because he had gotten rid of me. I was then quite frightened, I was afraid to ask him about age, because of his childish ways and that I had once taken orders from him. I just rofl awayed because I had won the discussion, he stopped calling me "noob" and what not. I just wanted to quit the guild, while the guildmaster obviously wanted me to stay in the guild, and made my resignation into huge deal. I'm just so happy right now. Thank Jebus! That I quited when I did.
PS. The guildmaster I'm talking about should really look up the word "argument", it has various meanings in different contexts
