- Well, It Began When :: Tenki was born into a wealthy family. Because of this, he was treated very well and sent to pristine schools. However, his parents couldn't find "suitable" playmates and his social skills suffered. As he grew used to being alone, he started to become quieter while at the same time seemingly more brilliant.
Eventually, he was sent to a boarding school, Kokorokaji University. However, neither he nor his parents knew of the Youkai until he attended. But he never told his parents that the Youkai existed. Nor did he tell anyone that he could see them. Through careful investigation, he found out who the other eight chosen ones were and withdrew, thinking he would be a novice and would let everyone down.
