Zysterica is a very treasured book of imagination that adds together mysteries from the past with amazement from the future. The book mostly takes place back in midevil times. Along with the book including magic and fighting, the characters form strong bonds with each other which enable them to continue farther into the story. The discussions these characters have and the places they go will surely make anyone laugh and enjoy themselves.

The beginning of the book takes place in a small village called Bridge, which is an exile town that used to be apart of the Femdesca territory. All across the land there are 10 trees named Zysterica trees. These trees were formed in order to prevent the world from falling into utter destruction. Even so, numerous people joined different alliances to help with what they believed in, which ended up in battling over territory for the trees. Later on, another alliance was created to setup guards to stand by the trees at all times. The Imperials, which was the alliance's name, ordered a sub-group called Noblecrest to be stationed in Bridge. Since there was a tree in Bridge, the town soon after became more popular. The captain of the sub-group, Guy Russell, becomes involved in an unlikely event, which pulls him into deeper troubles for the fate of the Zysterica trees, and his new friends.
