It was a really old cartoon made by a Spanish company in Japan X3 So really, it COULD be considered an anime show; I have to admit that one took me by surprise when I discovered that lol...
I remember vaguely seeing it once or twice... just memories of old episodes; a young Dogtanian... Ah yush, should explain it :3
Based on Dumas' book the three musketeers, this is an anime of the same story; only with furry characters; mainly dogs XD
The original spanish pun worked somehow on it; and I think you see when D'Arctanian becomes Dogtanian lol...
I found a DVD of this old series in the same store I found the horrible DBZ movie; AGAIN for 3 bucks... this time however; it was part of my youth! ^^ I couldn't turn this down!!
And I have to say, I was pleasantly happy with it ^_^
Although the voices weren't up to scratch - what anime ever is lol? ESPECIALLY one 20 years old - in all things, it wasn't too bad; a dramatic, deep story, well scripted; and some strong characters like the Cardinal and Gascon swordsman Dogtanian himself :3
A fair spattering of anime humor such as the traditional eye pull and stick out yer tongue trick; a horse that sniffs like a blood hound and tosses Dogtanian on his back...
It wasn't bad at all! ^_^
I found the specials quite amusing; especially in the profiles; where it came to discussing the characters breeds; Dogtanian is listed as... "Illigitimate offspring of Snoopy and Lady of Lady and the Tramp"
Hmm... o.o
Also we see references to Pok魯n rivalries and even Eminem, wow lol; it's weird; but funny weird X3

Okie; so the series sucks, but I'm buying it novelty here lol; it may never beat the books; but it'll be good reference for when I make it into a major blockbuster X3

For a BUCK lol!?! Freaking HEY that was alright with me X3 Patlabor seriously rocked; BRILLIANT mech designs; a solid plot, relatable characters and trigger happy ones there as well ~_^
I'll check it out again later; one of the best mecha movies I've seen really :3
Asides Gunbuster perhaps?
Gunbuster was a REALLY strong mecha movie; I dun wanna let my Eva-fan-ness get in here to say it's only a number 2 spot... but I'd say Gunbuster was a class favorite ^^

I also got a new Pok魯n game; since it's the ONLY kind of game I can play just now lol...
Pok魯n Channel :3 Isn't too bad; a kind of sim with Pikachu to watch TV; I get a kick out of the Wobbufet Quiz myself X3
And there IS the anime section to unlock; pretty cool-ish biggrin In the meanwhile; why dun I go order some more stuff off the Shop N' Squirtle Network...?
