“So….. You’re leaving?” Tana asked slowly, “For three days?”

Ximly nodded. “Aye…. Rika and I didn’t want Brian and Timmothy around to get hurt if things got out of hand….”

Corel was the one to respond next. “But wouldn’t they be in more danger away from the Haven?”

Ximly shook her head. “No. I never claimed any other family other than Brian on my registrations.”

“so you’re taking them to a woman who doesn’t even exist-“

“And who has a good amount of land to her name in the knowing world.” Ximly concluded. “They’ll be safe there.”

Tana nodded, “So….”

“You’ll answer to Rika while I’m gone.” Ximly said.

“And you leave tonight?” Corel voiced. “So you’ll be back….” He paused, “Sunday?”

“Monday for sure.” Ximly answered. “We may not leave until tomorrow.”

“You’re portaling back? With my car!? I think not!!” Tana snapped quickly. “Not on-“

“Tana, that new truck might be bugged!” Ximly hissed, “And the old one is gone!”

The witch sighed in response to Ximly’s answer. “Fine, but if it’s not in one piece, you owe me!”

Ximly nodded. “Deal, keys?” She asked, holding out her hand for the said items.

Tana gave a sigh as she fished through her pockets and handed over the single key attacked to a key ring with a dragon charm hanging from it. “Give the charm to one of the boys. If…. If something happens…”

Ximly looked at the charm and closed her palm tightly around it. “Let’s pray it doesn’t come to that.” With that the dracologist turned and left the hall, leaving Tana and Corel to watch their boss leave. It then dawned on Tana that the creatures hadn’t been fed yet.

“GAH! The food!” Tana gasped as she jumped and quickly punched in a code in the pad next to the door. Corel Jumped as all the trays suddenly shot into the air and floated after Tana quickly at a point of her finger. The door closed after her quickly, leaving one of the trays to bang against the door. The door quickly opened again and the tray ducked inside. Corel started laughing as he began to walk away.
