So, many of you may be wondering what exactly it is that I have been doing all summer. Some of you already know, some of you do not and do not care. But that's okay. This is my journal and I want to write about my summer. ^^
Working was okay. Only okay. I was a photo tech at a sea cadet summer training center. I took pictures, wrote articles. Even though there were air cadets and officers there. But I find the air cadets to be most awesome so it's okay.
Imagine, my poor friend training to be an Athletic Instructor and then having to work at this camp as a duty staff cadet! D=
The security there was sooo damn strict. I wasn't allowed more then a few steps outside in the night by myself. And there was a balcony that we were allowed on. Other then that, I sometimes got a few days out with the sailors. But, I felt trapped. I didn't tan nearly as much as I hoped I would so I am sickly white. Apparently. And I gained five pounds!
We did get out quite alot to movies, the mall and Tim Hortons though. And the food was better then any other SCSTC I know. I had steak! ^^ It was good.
I went on the St. Johns Haunted Hike. And we walked a trail that is famous for the scenery. People pay hundreds to go there. Haha...I walked about 3.7 kilometers with a pack before my back gave out. More then my back, I couldn't put one foot in front of the other. I'm a bit ashamed of that.
More then anything the kids liked me for being friendly and nice to them. I had alot of people tell me things that were bothering them and cadets who just wanted to talk. That felt good. And it felt good when I would get tons of compliments on my work. Parents would write their kids and mention the photos on the site, and officers and other staff cadets. I defenantly want to do that again. If I'm allowed.
Umm...yep. I had a good summer.
...Bye! <3

If you gained 5 pounds it probably wouldn't make that big a difference. You're in pretty good shape. smile
