I Wonder Why I Wonder Why

I wonder why I wonder why
I question everything in existance
Is it that I am arrogant
Or am I on a conquest
They say that knowledge is power
It's either falter or flower
The early bird gets the worm
And now I say it is my turn
To show the world that my grip is firm
And I have no intentions of letting go
Now it is I who holds the worm
I stand here watching is squiggle and squirm
And this brings me back to my question
I wonder why I wonder why
I question everything in existance
How did everything come to be
How did the worm end up with me
Is it chance or is it prophecy
Will time exist for eternity
There are so many things that I do not know
So I will walk the world with my mind in tow
And I will travel from here to there and to and fro
So that for all of this I'll have something to show
From my life long quest to learn and to know.
