Dearest Journal,

I am deeply sorry and ashamed for leaving you sitting for such a long time. After a moment
of thought after finally glancing in your general direction, I came to a realization. I believe that
you may be the cause of my characters' backgrounds not being revealed to me. Out of sheer
outrage at me not thinking about you, even for a moment, you have decided to bind every single
one of their stories in have pages.

I promise that you're my one and only journal and that I have not left you for a lovelier journal
bound in black leather with a golden clasp since I have not seen one I could afford yet. I simply
have been busy, caught up with other things in life, like hunting for a Black Pearl along the shores
of Tanaris, looking through my quest log, and eating tiramisu while it lasts.

You understand what it's like, right? When urgent matters force people to change their priorit-
oh, no, please- wait, don't leave me! Give me another chance! You're top priority now, I swear
it. You'll be the only one from now on, believe me. I'll never prioritize the World of Warcraft above
you again. I'll spend every moment of my life with you from now on, alright? Let us put this behind
us and start over, okay?
